Some basic causes of headaches include – Migraines, tension, de-hydration, passive or active smoking, strong light or sound, not eating in time, lack of sleep, hereditary, odors and pollution, etc. Much of it can be categorized into Migraines.
However, some headaches can just be a symptom of some other disease – this is very rare, but you can’t rule out anything. And thus one should always visit a doctor and make sure that your headache is nothing more than just a headache.

1) Fix your Daily Routine:
Have you heard about the Phrase – “Early to Bed and Early to Rise” and guess what happens after that? Yes – it makes you healthy, wealthy and wise! Not sure about getting wise or wealthy though, but surely this routine fix is a lot healthy.
The difficult part here is in getting to bed early, with internet, Tv or even books and finally the cell phones that you drag with yourself to your bed – everything distracts you from sleeping early. Take a tough stand – just do it and get rid of the distractions before bed time.
Even if you succeed in this and get to bed early – you will still have difficultly falling asleep. Just don’t give up – it happens to everyone. Keep lying idle, for hours if you have to – as falling asleep is not easy. If your previous routine kept you up till 4 AM in the morning, then suddenly falling asleep at 11 PM will surely be difficult. However, the great thing about your body and mind is that they can be trained – just keep at it and in a few days time – it will get auto-adjusted to your new healthy routine.
